Hello Suprio

You can have only one base planning level for a key figure and data will be stored at that level. You can dynamically query the key figure at the planning levels other than base planning levels. System will aggregate the data show you the data at the selected planning level.

For e.g. If you define the key figure at the base planning PERPRODCUST level, then you can query the key figure at the PERPROD level in the excel. Similarly you can go to the lowest levels to get the data. It won’t make sense for this key figure to also have values for one level up for e.g. PERPRODCUSTLOC.

Hence logically there is no need to select more than one planning levels in a key figure. What are two different planning levels you would like to define the key figure?

Hope this helps

Thanks

Hi Parveen,

The answer is of course helpful.

Can you please elaborate on base planning level? Is it the request level or the level at which the KF is defined?

Suprio

Hello Suprio

The base planning level is the level where you define the key figure. The Request is used for the dynamic selection in the excel. The request levels gets determined based on your selection of planning levels in the excel.

For e.g. a key figure defined at base planning level PERPRODCUST can be queried for different attributes in the excel. You can select the attributes Product Family or customer Channel. The attribute selected in the excel will be Request planning level and system will do the aggregation/dis-aggregation to process the data accordingly.

Hope this helps
