Hi,
I have to create 3 Groups - Group-INT, Group-EXT and Group-INT & EXT with material types assigned to them.
For Group-INT & EXT: I have to assign only 1 material type.
Requirement is to create 2 NRs as follows,
1. EXT as 000000000000100000 to ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ with NR number as "01".
2. INT as 000000000000010000 to 000000000000099999 with NR number as "02"
Once I have created both Group-EXT and Group-INT, NR number 01 and 02 got generated respectively.
But when I am creating Group-INT & EXT and try assigning Existing NRs ie. 01 and 02, I am getting a message "Intervals already exists"
Not able to create group having both NRs.
Please help.
If I am putting NR values directly then, NRs 03 and 04 gets created with overlap message.
Kindly help me asap with your valuable answers.

Hi Gianmaria,
Thanks for your response!
I already did the same you suggested. Please check above screenshots.
1. Create -> Group- INT & EXT
2. Click SAVE.
Specify the interval data message is coming.
3. Interval-> Assign Interval.
4. Both NRs 01 and 02 are added.
5. Click SAVE
Interval already exists message is coming.

Earlier in Dev we have- NR 01 for Group INT and 03 for Group EXT, but we need to align Dev and Quality systems with Production.
In Production, we have 3 Grps, see screenshot below.
So, In Dev I first deleted all groups, so all material types are unassigned.
Then, I created NR 01 - EXT and NR 02 - INT
Now, Group EXT and Group INT is created but not able to create Group - INT & EXT with both NRs (as same as PRD).
MARA table has records, just NR number got adjusted.
Also, I have copied NR status for INT from 01(earlier) to 02(new), so it would take NR from that value.
Hope it is clear now.
Thanks for the details, you cleared the doubts and the expected danger is not given.
Try Edit -> assign again.
The message "Interval already exists" is only an information to make you aware of the fact that in case of a later unassignment this will be done for all groups which share this number range. Just confirm the message with enter and save.
There is a KBA which mentions several OSS notes that would need to be implemented if such error appears, see the KBA 1785208 - Various errors occur during material master number range creation (transaction MMNR) and check whether you can implement the mentioned notes
I think you can't use one number range interval (from and to) for multiple groups. If the number range interval is assigned to one group, then you can't use this for another group. You need to create new number range interval.

Hi
Error itself saying that, No. range should not overlap.
Number range-02 and 03 are overlapping. Change the number range and check.
