BPMon with MAI: are SMD agents required for data collection?

Hi,

I have configured BPMon with MAI and want to know regarding the infrastructure.

Is the diagnostic agent on managed system required to for data collection for BPMon with MAI?

If the agent is not connected and inactive will the data collection still happen?

Hi Vishal

I think MAI for BPMon is run on extractor framework (pull style).

So if the managed system has pre-requisite ST-PI (ST-PI becomes also important since it wraps classic BPMon data collector <ST-A/PI collector>.

So I think SMD agent is not mandatory(not used)

Yes. SMD Agent and Host Agent required for Data collection.

If already installed, Just register with Solution Manager, If not installation and register.
