Hi Experts,
We have training system which has three clients.
311 - Training Master
211 - Training Client 1
210 - Training Client 2
When local or remote client copy in 211 being performed at the same time can we use other client 210 for training purpose?
Thanks in advance for help.
Regards,
Gautam
Hi Gautam,
When local or remote client copy in 211 being performed at the same time can we use other client 210 for training purpose?
As you would also be aware about the client copy prerequisites,Anyways for your ref client copy should be performed on low system activities ( Like no users should be logged on to overcome issues during table locks by the users ).
For consistent client copy even i suggest you to suspend any background jobs as well with BTCTRNS1.
So as per me try to avoid any activities while doing client copy to avoid failures.
Hope you'll find it informative.
Thanks,
Gaurav

Hi Gautam,
It also dependes upon type of copy you are using.
If it is export/import method for client copy, then after taking exports , source system will no longer impacted.
However if you use remote client copy using RFC , source system atleast client is not recommanded to be used to avoid any inconsistancies.
As other suggested , you can shutdown batch , transports to minimise impact.

Rupali

Hello,
You can but the client copy will impair the overall perfomance of your instance.
Even if the clients are different they are still using the same tables.

Steve.
