Hi Experts,
My Client wants to put a break schedule in place where the employee can avail a 45mnts break any time after punching into the time terminal.
The moment the employee enters into the office he/she is eligible for break.
I could see a possible solution of Variable break where the time frame is set within which the break can be taken, but to my concern here the employee can take break any time between the punchin & final punchou.
Eg. Employee logs in at 9.00 goes for a tea break at 9.10 for 15mnts & doesn't go for a lunch break but takes a final break at 4.00pm to 5.pm so here the break period falls within the entire work schedule period.
Creating a dynamic break schedule & putting a time cap of 1/2/3 hrs is ruled out along with substitution as they do not fulfill our requirement.
Can anybody please help me with this.

1st i went with Vivek's suggestion
Vivek there is a small correction...its a paid break.
As per the suggestion you rendered ...it works some what fine but its taking 45 mnts as Break but also adding 3 minutes extra to the Productive hours.
Actual working hours-8hrs
Break-45 mnts
Productive Hours-7.15 minutes
System result-7.15+3mnts=7.18 minutes which should net e the actual case as 3 minutes should be taken care in that 7.15mnts.

The Duration Calculation is working fine...it was a fault on my end as i mentioned .45, now i have made it .75 even if i dont maintained Start after option also system is considering the details.
Now in 2011 i have maintained 2 breaks of 15mnts each & employee doesnt take the last 15mnts.
But when i run time eval-system is taking complete 45mnts break.
1/ Now here is the issues if there are small breaks of 4/5 time each with 8/9mnts then the system evaluation should calculate & capture multiple breaks & productive hours
2/ System should take actual break taken not the assigned minutes in T550P.
Please guide on this.

Thanks for the update.
As far as i understand syste is not reading data maintained in 2011- which has 2 enrties for break 15/15 mnts each.
System is only considering T550P while running the evaluation.
Can you please guide me on the PCR Part where to fix it & achieve the result.

System is behaving correctly. The difference of 15/15 will be getting reported as unaccounted time with processing type K if I am not wrong.
Can you please do a favor by creating data in your system and showing its processing in TIP table and what you wish to achieve?
Are these breaks paid or unpaid?

There are few of my observation i a sharing from Input,Processing,Out put.
1/ If there are 3 breaks of 15mnts each, System is taking only 1st break as Paid with Time Type -540
2/ The remaining breaks are assigned Time Type-500.
If the employee takes 2 breaks of 15mnts each & the remaining 15mnts he works, then system is taking
Time Type -540-15mnts-Paid Break
Time Type-500-15mnts-Break
But there is no information of the 15mnts out of the 45mnts, system even is not attaching the 15mnts to the total working hours.
Not able to attach screenshot as system is not responding.

Your requirement is of a Flexi Break which means the employee is allowed to take a break of fixed duration anytime between his planned working time. So it would be valid even if his break starts the moment he punches his entry.
Please refer the below screenshot to see how you can configure this:
When you create the break do not provide the start and end time since the employee is allowed to take the break anytime. 0.75 is mentioned under Unpaid to specify the fixed duration of 45mins for the break.
Now when you configure this break what would be required is that you specify the Planned working time in the Flextime section of the DWS. This is to be specified since we are using Flexi break which references the field RefTime in the break schedule. If you see the F4 help on the RefTime field, you will see that it has two entries for selection - Planned working time and Normal Working time. For Planned working time the field is kept blank which is what we have kept in our break and thus filled the DWS as required for it.

Have never worked with something like this before- However, something for you to try
1) Specify the start and end of break time as start and end of planned working time
2) Specify the paid break as 45 minutes.
3) Hopefully the clock in/out of break times are clearly marked as P02 or something in Time Events.
And hopefully they get formed correctly in TIP or you could do something in Time Evaluation to further process these entries in the way you want.
Alternatively - use dymanic breaks and specify the no of hours after which 45 minutes can be taken as blank.
