Account Assignment Category E in Planned Order created through MRP

Dear SAP Experts,

We are facing an issue. We are using Make to stock strategy. When we run MRP system generate Planned Order/PR with account assignment category E and system link sale order in planned order/PR.

I have checked planned order/ PR profile which are LA and NB. This issue is mostly arising when system create PR of lesser quantity.

Umar,

Are you using any special procurement key for this material or header material if yes check the planning strategies in both plants.

And also check if you are using both MTO and MTS combination strategy?

Please delete the requisition and re-run the MRP. This should not happen.

Could you please share with us MD04 before and after the MRP is executed?

Hello Umar,

Please check the individual and collective indicator in material master MRP4 view it should be 2 = Collective.

Also check the requirement class of your sales order it may be make to order.

Check the planning strategy in material master.

Could you please share the screen shot of MD04?

We are using indicator 2 in MRP 4. And other IMG settings are also same as mentioned in replies.

Hello Umar,

From your screen shot it seems like that you have sales order as MTO customer segment.

In that case your PR will have the account assignment as E with sales order.

Please check the requirement type of sales order in procurement tab and planning strategy defined in material master.

Umar,

Ensure your header material is not using MTO relevant strategy if there were recent changes then delete re run the MRP in MD02 with planning mode 3 and See if that works.
