field value restriction in Transaction Variant

hello all,

i have created a Transaction Variant for IW32..

now my question is how do restrict the order no(i.e i want orders starting 98********* should only be allowed to changed by this transaction variant).

how do achieve this,

hi sandy,

by using variant group i can only assign the users who can access this variant,

where as my question is i want to restrict the field values (say only order no's 980000000024,

980000000025, 980000000026, 980000000027) should be allowed where as for other orders it should throw some error message (some thing like that)...

In this case you should modify the standard search help for order. Refer to SAP note 926279.
