Hi gurus,

I have some question about create a R/3 Connection.

I make a new RFC Connection with SM59 to connect and get data of another R/3 system.

I do below jobs..

<SOURCE SYSTEM : SAP RELEASE 702, TARGET SYSTEM : SAP RELEASE 700>

1. SM59 - make a new RFC connection ( insert target host : ip address. system number, logon client, user, password, select unicode) with connection type '3(ABAP Connection)'.

2. click Connection Test button and its OK

3. SPRO - Governance,Risk and Compliance - Common Component Settings - Intergration Framework - Maintain Connectors and Connection Types.

'Define Connectors' --> Add target connector.

'Assign Connectors to Connector Groups' --> Add target connector.

4. SPRO - Governance,Risk and Compliance - Common Component Settings - Integration Framework - Maintain Connection Settings

   Intergration Scenario : AM

and Add target connector each subscenario definition in Scenario-Connector Link

After of all, to Test, in Rule Setup - Continuous Monitoring - Data Source - Create New Data Source.

Select Sub Scenario and main connector, and click 'main table lookup' and click 'Apply' but message 'SYSTEM FAILURE WITH REMOTE SYSTEM XXXXX' shown.

Please help,

Thank you,

Hi Seungho,

Can you please do the following and let us know the result.

1.Please do the connection Test for the RFC that you have created.

2.Please do the Remote Logon Test for the RFC that you have created.

3.Please do the Authorization Test for the RFC that you have created.

4.Hope you have created RFC in bi-directional way. Meaning RFC from ECC to GRC system and RFC from GRC to ECC system.

Let us know if anything is unclear and also share the above test results.

Dear Colleen & Fazil

Thanks for kind reply, Basis check ST22, SM21 and found short dump.

Dump detail is 'Call Function NOT FOUND'.

Short text is  'Function module "/GRCPI/GRIA_AM_TABLE_QUERY" not found.

So this message as a guide, I tried to find the problem.

<steps>

1. In other normal Target system, I found specific function that named

'GRCPINW(descriptioned SAP GRC NW Plug-in)'

'GRCPIERP(descriptioned GRCPIERP)'

2. So I tried to find these function in trouble target system, but there is not installed.

So, we requested the installation of the function to the Basis and waiting.

But I have a question.

If either for GRC to connect to the other server SAP R/3 system, need to always install this functions to target system? And I will care that there are other functions need to be must installed.

Thank you very much.

Smolee.

you need the plug-ins installated as per the installation guides

I recommend you have your Basis team review the installation guides in Marketplace so you set up your landscape up correctly for each connected systems
