Default Storage Category for easyDMS

Hello Everyone,

I currently assigned default storage category (using KPRO) for my user on,

easyDMS -> Organize -> Preferences -> System (Tab)

How can I make this storage category defaulted for all the users using easyDMS?

Hi Mohan,

If you post with system details so that we can easily to answer.

You can achieve by defining profiles in SAP system . Follow Spro->cross application comp->DMS->General data-> define profile.

Hello Chandu,

I already have above mentioned settings available in SPRO, these settings works for GUI and NWBC.

What that means is, there is no pop up window with Storage Categories to select while performing Document Check-In.

In easyDMS, system still asks user to manually select the Storage Category, I added Storage category for my user profile on easy preferences and I believe this needs to be done for all the users using easyDMS.

I would like to know how can I apply this change to all the users from configuration/system point of view.

Hello Mohan,

these settings get stored in the windows registry.

You can find them in the registry tree:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\SAP\EasyDMS\System\<Systemname>\Storages\KPRO

You could provide these settings with a small *.reg file containing this value.
Maybe you can work together with your software distribution colleague to supply it via Startup package. Or a simple Windows Startup script during the Windows Startup procedure will do the work as well.
