Controlling - Revenue based allocation

Hi Team,

We want to allocate the Web and  advertising expense based on the revenue of the receiving cost center. We have created a cycle with receiver tracing factor as variable portions on actual costs and provided the cost elements for revenue. When we execute the cycle, we get the warning as “The segment contains no receivers”.

If this is not the right procedure, How can we allocate cost based on revenue?

Kindly Advice me.

Regards,

Bhaskar Reddy

Hi VSN/Ajay

Thanks for the response.

As you both rightly pointed out, Revenues are posted in Profit center and not in cost center. Program RKALSTA1 populates SKF based on cost center. Is there a way to first get the data from profit center and populate them in the SKF with the corresponding cost center?

Hi

VSN is correct.. You cant post revenues to CC

Your only option is to use SKF.. You can programs like RKALSTA1 or similar to populate SKFs automatically and then use them for allocation

Hi Bhaskar,

how you are booking revenue in cost center ?

cost center is not having revenue cost element hence you are getting the error.

Why cant to try updating SKF based on revenue.
