Hello Gurus,
I am going through different blogs as well as help.sap and came across that there with MDG7.0 we have a dedicated work center for Business partner like SAP_MDGBP_MENU_04, so, my question is if we dont have 7.0 in our landscape that can't we create a BP with 6.1. Why we required a specific workcenter for BP?
BR,
Ashu
Dear Ashu Raj,
Yes its possible to create BP in MDG 6.1 from either of the Supplier or Customer MDG roles. This happens automatically based on your CVI configurations while creating Supplier/Customer in MDG.
I believe the role SAP_MDGBP_MENU_04 allows you to search for Business Partners, perform mass change on BP data, search Cleasing Case etc. I don't recall seeing creation of a new BP via the the role SAP_MDGBP_MENU_04.
Best Regards

Hi Uday,
Thanks for the response.
In 6.1 with SAP_MDGS_MENU role, I have seen the same UI for BP what is there with 7.0 role, but my query is there any specific difference/advantage by which business should go with 7.0 over 6.1 other than scope of entity and parallel change request concept.
Regards
Ashu
Hi Michael,
Thanks for the response.
yes I understand that with BP role in 7.0 I can create only BP data, but with SAP_MDGS_MENU role in 6.1 we can create BP as well as Supplier/Customer (based on the CVI configuration) and can create only BP using that role(by removing the CVI configuartion), is my understanding correct?
Regards
Ashu
