Former Member

Hello,

We have a SAP SCM 4.1 application on ORACLE

O/S: SPARC

Kernel release: 640

Oracle: 10.2.0.5.0

We are planning to upgrade the oracle to 11.2.0.3.0 and migrate the DB to RAC on linux. I want to be sure the current SAP kernel 640 is compatible with LINUX ORACLE RAC.

This NOTE does not talk anything about SAP kernels compatible with RAC

Hi Karunakar ,

Believe you didnt read it properly

We only support Oracle RAC as of the 46D_EXT kernel version. The minimum SAP R/3 version is 46C.

As of Oracle Version 10.2, the release of Oracle RAC applies not only to the ABAP but also to the Java Stack and all WebAS or SAP NetWeaver-based SAP products (for example, R/3 Enterprise 4.7, ERP2004, ERP 2005, BW 3.5, BI 7.0, CRM, SRM, SCM, SEM, and so on).

Oracle 9.2 RAC is only released for the ABAP stack.

Thanks ,

Manu
