SAP PI 7.11 adapter REST

Hello the community,

In blog's ,I noticed that SAP developped an adapter REST ..

Are they going to develop a version for SAP PI 7.1 ehp1 ?

I don't think so.

Please refer to Alex comment's under release blog -

it is not supported in lower releases, and we don't have any plans to downport it.

The solution would be to add a non-central adapter engine of latest release to your existing PI system, and run the REST scenarios there.

We have just recently changed the SAP note 1916146 (Version interoperability of distributed PI/PO landscapes) which supports this scenario

I took a look to the note 1916146.

If I understand well. The solution for the consumption of a REST service would be the installation of decentralized Adapter engine with REST service in version 7.31/7.40 and link it on my PI version 7.11.

Hi Eric,

You have another alternative like to prurchase a third-party adapter like the Advantco one, or try with PI SOAP AXIS that offers some Restful characteristics, check Michal's blog

I agree with Haresh, if you check this note 2032345 - FAQ: PI 7.31 / PI 7.4 REST Adapter for Advanced Adapter Engine, it points out that the REST adapter is supported as of 7.31 SP14 / 7.4 SP9
