SAP Travel module query

Hi,

I have a query.

Consider a scenario

Below data is entered in SAP Portal travel screen

Trip start date  01.01.2015 time 07.00

Trip end date  02.01.2015 time 21.00

employee start travel on 01.01.2015 from Sweden at 7.00

Employee catches flight on 01.01.2015 from Sweden at 9.00

Employee flight reaches international destination on 01.01.2015  at 11.00

Employee catches flight from international destination on 02.01.2015 at 21.00 (21.00 is local time at international destination)

Employee flight reaches home country, Sweden, on 02.01.2015  at 21.00 (now here you may note time is the same 21.00 and it is local time in home country)

In this scenario the time at which employee caught flight in international destination and the time he landed in home country is the same due to different time zones.

How this scenario of different time zones is handled for per diem calculation which is calculated based on number of hours.

Thanks

Rajaram

Hi,

swedish country version offers additional fields to catch all the required times, and suitable calculation. Sweden is using 24h intervals, not calendar days. That's why the times are important here.

Switch to Swedish trip provision variant, and have a check with your customer to see if it's correct. Not sure which of the times are being read, but I know for sure that country version is doing it in the correct way.

In case of bad luck, you can even arrive in Sweden before leaving other country. Finland has the same rules, and a flight from Russia St. Petersburg to Helsinki takes 45 min. Stockholm may have similar situations.
