Hi Folks,
What's the SAP recommended size for attachments, so that the system performance is also optimum and Users are also able to upload somewhat larger attachments.
Properties:
attachments.maxSizeKB.buyers
attachments.maxSizeKB.sellers
attachments attachments.upload.file.extension_list: Also is zip and .rar is a recommended format?
Thank you,
HM
To be honest, this is dependent on the environment and network bandwidth. Typically attachments of 5-10MB are not a problem. We have seen issues where attachments sizes get above 20-30MB. There are a couple of issues to look out for:
1) is there a network rule that limits the size of a file that can enter/exit the network?
2) Are there timeout settings that could get hit if you wait too long for a very large file?
What is the requirement from a business standpoint?
Also .zip .rar are both valid options. Just make sure the file type(s) you prefer to use as attachments are enabled with the system property ( attachments.upload.file.extension_list ) by default, these two are.
Regards,
Gary
