Installing Orcale DB System under Windows

hi,

I'm going to install Netweaver04 SR1 . My question how is oracle installed ? Through Sapinst or manually or does SAPINST require that Oracle is just installed before the Web AS Installation is done through SAPINST. It might be a simple question , but i searched all the documentation and I'm not sure if Oracle is installed separatly and manually or SAPINST does it on his own. I'm not talking about DBSchemas I'm talking about the Basic Installation of the DBMS.

Hi Francesco,

SAPInst can guide you through the Oracle DBMS installation.

When you run the Web AS installation, at a certain point when you choose to install the Oracle software SAPInst will ask for the CDs and will guide you through the whole process.
