Hi - has anyone ever used TDMS with Vistex tables?
We just did a 3 month time slice and had to remove the Vistex tables because they added up to about 250 GB. Our Oracle DBA is using Oracle's DataPump to push the data to the client and then will update the client number; it's slow, but no where near as long as it was going to take TDMS.
Which puts the time to do this whole process to over 2 weeks.
Thanks,
Margaret
Hello Margaret,
Which part took long time, reading from sender system or writing to receiver system ? This you can check from transaction DTLMON using the view relative runtime distribution.
Thanks
Anita

Hello Margaret,
If you don't want to transfer Vistex tables with TDMS and you are having list of tables with you then you can set these tables to NO TRANSFER via activity "Specify Reduction rules for tables" in package settings phase.
If you want to reduce them then again you can use activity "Specify Reduction rules for tables" . In this activity you can change their status to reduce transfer if they have selection fields ( date related fields ) available.
If you have some other requirement regarding Vistex tables then please explain.
