Hi Gersh,

I found this Note 1695530:Error 'Time is not in required format' when loading data .  Do you think its applicable ?

we are BPC 7.5

Hi Ram,

It's applicable if you are on SP04 - SP12, or SP02 - SP03 of BPC 7.53.

It seems applicable if your BW InfoCube has non-cumulative key figures (like in and out of inventory). From the example you posted it doesn't look like non-cumulative, so I doubt it will help.

Hi Gersh,

We did implement the note 1695530 and indeed it resolved the issue with the time format .

However i am able to select only 1 0FISCPER  per execution, if i select 2 0fiscper per execution for example it fails :

0FISCPER  -  2014001

0FISCPER  -  2015001

0FISCVARNT - K4

Is this the way this would work or am i doing something wrong ? Your thoughts please .

Hi Ram,

No, failure is not by design. Please share what error do you get now.

Hi Gersh,

Thanks for all the help .  Looks like 1695530 did resolve the issue . The below example does work .

0FISCPER  -  2013001

0FISCPER  -  2012001

0FISCVARNT - K4

My last update  on  Mar 13, 2015 3:20 PM  was due to the fact that ..the period which i selected had blank records causing the package failure. I tried a different period and it worked fine .

Thanks once again .

Best Regards

Ram

Hi,

Yes we do assign fiscal variant as V3 and K4, in my case we have converted fiscal period to calmonth.

Hi,

OFISCPER format is YYYYMMM. Try to filter by both variant and period in selection.

Thanks,

Hello Varaprasad/Devi,

We do not have fiscal variant  data in our source , so we did not map it.  we are using only 0fiscper.

Is 0FISCvariant.  mandatory ?   Are you saying we need to select it  fiscal year variant along 0fiscper in Selection ??

0FISCVARNT is not mandatory per se, but 0FISCPERIOD is compounded with it. Hence whenever you use 0FICPERIOD you have to use 0FISCVARNT.

Now something is strange with your screen shots. You said that you didn't map 0FISCVARNT when you loaded the cube - this should male it blank if such value exists. You screen shot of data in cube shows it populated.

Can you please clarify this discrepancy?

Hi Gersh,

Thanks for your reply. Ok understood about the compounding part.

The cube data posted was of the Source cube not the BPC cube.  We have mapped only 0FISCPER  to a DIM in BPC. When i try to load  data from BW cube to BPC cube with /CPMC/LOAD_INFOPROVIDER_UI  i get the error mesg. not accepting the format of 0FISCPER (YYYYMMM)  provided as input .

Hope the above clarifies.

Hi Ram,

In selection screen of your load do you have an option to chose Fiscal variant? If you have, can you choose value as K4 there?

hi Ram,

When you validate the transformation file, did you encounter any errors?

Hi Andy,

The same transformation file works fine , if i do a full load without any selections . So doesnt seem to be a issue with the transformation file .

However in PROD we have a huge volume of records from 2007 - 2015 . But in BPC we need only 2 months data 2014001 & 2015001 . So i am trying to use with the selections on 0FISCPER which doesnt seem to work .  Any other thoughts ?

Hi Ram,

Ok, in your selection screen make sure you select the correct fiscal period info object, sometimes they have similar names, so many try select a difference one with similar name.

the format will be YYYYMMM

Hi Ram,

Goto RSA1, select your BW cube from infoproviders, and try to display thedata.

after displaying the data, check the format of 0FISCPER and try the same in selections.

Hi Raj,

Listcube  shows 0fiscper in the following format 2012012

F4  of 0fiscper shows in the following format      012.2012

I have tried both the formats in the selection , i still get the same error . I have posted the Transformation & conversion files .  Can you please have a look and tell me if i am missing anything ?
