Standard Cost Estimate error for recursive BOM

Hi Experts,

We are using Recursive BOM concept which is having same FG material as component in the BOM.

While Creating standard cost estimate we are getting the following error message.

Material XXXXX in plant XXXX belongs to cycle 00001 costed with errors

Message no. CK740

Please provide your valuable inputs to solve the issue.

Hi

If you check error log thoroughly, you may find there one more error CK476. This error (CK740) generally arises due to error CK476.

CK476 occurs when production version is not maintained properly. Check whether any

production version maintained to consider the costing lot size in material master data. If the

costing lot size of material in not in the range of different production version then system can

issues this error. It may arise due to wrong recipe group. Cross verify the production version

with material master data team.

Also check whether the system is picking “Alternative BOM” in place of “Main BOM”. If

the system is picking alternative BOM then ask the production team to rectify the

production version.

Hi

In Recursive BOM the ratio is most important and if there is no sufficient space in ration this error may come...example..

   For production of Mat1  100 units 80 units Mat1 is used..then system will cost

   If suppose for 100 units of Mat1 you have used 99 units of mat1 system will through error

   So check your BOM and rectify
