Attachment Size in Contract Management

Hi Folks,

What's the SAP recommended size for attachments, so that the system performance is also optimum and Users are also able to upload somewhat larger attachments.

Properties:

attachments.maxSizeKB.buyers

attachments.maxSizeKB.sellers

attachments attachments.upload.file.extension_list: Also is zip and .rar is a recommended format?

Hi Harsh,

There is no such limit or recommended size. It all depends on environment and your network bandwidth.

Attachments with 5 to10 MB are not problem. we have kept the size to 100 MB and we have not faces issues up till now.

there are few rules which you can look for like

1) check if there is any network rule that limit the size of the file which comes and goes out of the network.

2) check the time-out setting which will cause problem if there is any large file greater then 100 MB.

both ZIP and RAR can be used these are selected by default. Keep in mind the various files format are mentioned(enable) in the system property (attachments.upload.file.extension_list) in the Value field.

A semi-colon separated list of file extensions.

e.g :  doc;docx;xls;xlsx;csv;pdf;xml ................... etc.
