Hello Kumar,

When you start your sapinst and it has executed, do you get text similar to the following on your putty/telnet session ?

guiengine: No GUI server connected; waiting for a connection on host solax017, port 21212 to continue with the installation

In the example above I started sapinst with the -nogui option.

As has been mentioned by Peter, make sure you are using a correct JDK.

Also, please post the output of "ulimit -a"

In another window, please execute "netstat -an | grep 21212" which will tell you if something is listening on 20212 and whether your sapinst started properly.

Kindest Regards,

Hi,

Check if the ports are enabled over the network

Hello Ujjwal,

This error may appear if not the correct JDK is used. The required version can be found in the install guide.

This note may be related: 1172419 - Linux: Supported Java versions on the x86_64 platform
