Mapping-Value shown at node level but not during runtime

Hi

I am facing a strange issue in sap pi during execution of graphical mapping step.

At node level, while doing display queue value is being shown where as mapping execution on a whole didn't generate the target node.

Attached the screenshot.

Mapping was working as expected last week but facing this issue from this week.

When copy object(without modifying) is being done then the mapping started working as expected.

Version: SAP PI 7.31 SP5(Dual stack)

As a workaround, we can edit and activate the mapping object, but would like to know how to avoid this issue being occurred in future.

Please let me know if someone has faced such issue earlier and any inputs will be appreciated.

Note: There have no changes done to the any of the objects in the interface & parent nodes also doesn't have any suppress value.

Hi Rama,

This sort of things might happen due to context change. If the source is an IDoc then we can have multiple sub segments with same name fields but occurring on different segment levels. Please confirm if that is the case.

Source elements occur once and no context change involved.

Data which was processed last week, also having the issue now. And no changes were done to the mapping object.

Is there only one parent node generated for the FUNCTIONAL_LOCATION node?

If there are multiple parents generated, and you are missing the node in the second parent or onwards, then this might just be a context handling problem.

Parent node of FUNCTIONAL_LOCATION is mapped to a constant and Occurrence is 1..1

please test with the data without fail and with failed data and let us know what is the error your getting

Messages are not getting failed during mapping, issue is that particular node is not being generated during mapping step.

Hi Rama,

It's really weird that one day all goes fine and the next day without change anything the map fails, and i suppose that with the same data or similar. Have you checked the different caches status?, have you upgraded the SP of your PI recently?.

Also tested the interface with the data which generated mapping as expected last week, but not generating particular node now.

no issues observed with cache as well and no recent SP upgrade.
