Hi,

     We are facing an issue with Powerbuilder 12.5.2 evaluation version while connecting to data source as attached. We have ODBC driver 64 bit installed.

We downloaded Powerbuilder from http://support.sap.com/swdc

Attached our system configuration.

Please suggest at earliest.

Hi,

This link may help: http://scn.sap.com/thread/3387118

Crash occurs in the DataWindow painter (PBDWP125.DLL), so I could suggest this:

1) Close PowerBuilder

2) Go to the Registry Editor (regedit.exe): Start > Run > Regedit

3) Navigate to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Sybase\PowerBuilder\12.5\Layout\Default

4) Open up the Datawindow key, copy the value and save it to a notepad session or something similar.

5) Empty the value and replace it with this value: PBTR{0 DWLO{0 }100 }

6) Press ok in the registry editor to set that value.

7) Open Powerbuilder and try to open the datawindow now and see if it still crashes.

Hello,

a) Have you ever tested deleting the complete registry entry HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Sybase\PowerBuilder\12.5\Layout\Default ?

b) Can you see if disabling your antivirus improves the situation

c) Lastly, what about reinstalling completely the product?

PowerBuilder is a 32 bit application, you need to use a 32 bit ODBC driver with it.
