Windows Server 2008 R2 scheduled task to run a Crystal Reports file fails.

We have a scheduled task to run a crystal reports file on one of our Server 2008 RS server that intermittently fails.  The task will kick off and hang half way through the script. When the task fails, I run the task manually over and over until it finally completes successfully.  Also, the task will not run if we change the security options to "run whether user is logged on or not".  So, we have to leave the server logged in at all times.  We have the task setup with a local account that has admin rights to the server.   The task is also set to "run with the highest privileges".  We are running Crystal Reports version 11.5.10.1263. Has anyone ever seen this before and know how to resolve????

Hi Deana

First, you want to update to v. 11.5.12.1838. See the following blog on how to:

Next. I wonder about the details of the scheduling. Is this your own script? Are you using BOE / BI? IS this some 3rd party app that does the scheduling? What happens once the report is scheduled?
