ChaRM authorizations with cCTS

Hi All,

We are facing authorization problems with ChaRM when used with cCTS. this is working fine for CTS. Now in our production system we have cCTS and so we have many authorization problems.

  • We fixed all the authorization errors for the dialog user in SolMan and ECC and gave SAP ALL to sll system users. Still it does not work. We believe some java authorization is still missing. The standard SAP role template for cCTS is also not helping.
  • When I have SAP_J2EE_ADMIN role and all system users have SAP ALL then its working.

Challenge is this admin role is wide open and we can not give to all the users.

Has anyone also faced this kind of issue before. If yes then how you solved this. We are stuck with go-live date planned for next week. Appreciate any input in this line. Thanks.

Smita

Hi All,

We fixed this issue  with lot of authorizations.

1. We again downloaded the roles as per SAP note 0001830640   Authorizations for SAP
Solution Manager RFC users as of SP09

to user SMT<SID> in development system of ECC

2. fixed the user CCTSTRANS in QA and Prod

3. gave all the authorizations which was failing as per SU53 to these users.in SolMan EDD development.

Hope this will help the next person who is facing same issues. Thanks

Hello,

The following URL contains a setup guide for cCTS:

http://scn.sap.com/docs/DOC-49155

Based on that document, it seems that you need a role with the authorization object S_RFCACL. This authorization object is not covered by SAP_ALL profile.

Also check your Trusted RFC Destinations. Check if Trusted-Trusting configuration between your Solman and the Managed Systems are working. For reference, check note "128447 - Trusted/trusting systems"
