WT Sorting (one WO per ODO)

Dear Colleagues,

We want to be able to sort WT's based on the Logic of one WO per ODO.

With our current WOCR rules in place, after wave release,we've observed that system generates one WO for all ODO's ,when we really want to create one WO per ODO,which is the very basic settings of WOCR rules in EWM,before detailed WOCR's are applied and pinch that logic.

Has anyone worked with such WT sorting requirement? If so,can you please give us the heads up,so to speak and if any BADi have been activated for this goal to be achieved.

All Help, greatly appreciated.

KR.

Hi,

it has nothing to do with sorting, but the creation rule itself.

But why not use the simplest solution of all: do NOT use any self defined WOCR. As you described, the standard rule keeps ODOs separate (means it create one WO per ODO, as long as all WTs have the same activity area).

Why even we are using waves ? Waves are more useful when WO is created from different ODO  item . If WO has to be created from one delivery each then waves are not much useful .

Is it only for automation purpose ?

Hi,

well, to create WO combining the WTs for different ODOs is for sure one of the advantages for using waves. But generally I think a wave is the best possible way to create WTs at the time you want them to be created.

Hi,

once you configure the system to create one WO for one ODO, you can then use BAdI /SCWM/EX_WHO_CREATE, where you can sort WTs by custom logic.

For example we use this BAdI to sort picking WTs for the same bin by product characteristics.
