500 Internal Server Error while accessing the ESS COntent in Portal

Hello Experts,

   Whenever am trying to access the ESS content in Portal 500 Internal Server message is displaying in my content area.

I have checked below details:

     1)checked Backend ECC is up or not

     2)also checked user id is existing in ECC or not

     3)validity period and role validity of User

     4)also checked SSO in between portal and ECC

Did I miss anything. Still unable to solve this error

Kindly Help me out in this matter.

hi Chandrashekhar,

Have you checked the JCO in Content administrator. And are they pingable and successful

if yes check the session time outs for same.

Thnxx for ur reply. Actually the JCO connections are not pingable but the status is green

Hope after maintaining the JCO the content will work.

Hi Chandrashekhar,

Yes the JCO should be pingable and successful in the Test connection. Try to re-connect after that it should solve the issue.

I am facing this issue for Personal information only, all other application are working fine.

Hi Chandra,

Check for the below JCO destinations.

1. SAP_R3_HumanResources

2. SAP_R3_HumanResources_MetaData

3. SAP_R3_SelfServiceGenerics

4. SAP_R3_SelfServiceGenerics_MetaData

Click on Test button of each JCOs and confirm that it is working.

Also are you facing the problem only for particular ESS Application or on the ESS Overview page???

But for better result, go to your NWA logs and get the default trace. It will help a lot immediately.
