Unable to activate emergency user SAP*

Former Member

Dear Team,

I am trying to activate SAP* user in my central SLD Portal but this option is deactivated in configtool. I can not change properties ume.superadmin.activated  and ume.superadmin.password.

I tried note 1596787 - Error activating emergency user on 7.1 J2EE AS

But again I do not see property com.sap.security.core.ume.service on below path . Any Idea ?

cluster_config system custom_global cfg services com.sap.security.core.ume.service Propertysheet properties.

Regards,

Alok

  1. Start the config tool.
  2. Choose Switch to configuration editor mode.
  3. On the Display Configuration tab page. Choose:
    1. cluster_config
    2. system
    3. custom_global
    4. cfg
    5. services
    6. com.sap.security.core.ume.service (note that this is not in bold characters)
    7. Propertysheet properties .
  4. Choose Switch between view and edit mode.
  5. A warning appears to make sure the server and dispatcher nodes are shut down (Make sure they are).
  6. Choose Yes.
  7. Choose Edit the details of the selected node.
  8. Double click and edit the ume.superadmin.activated and ume.superadmin.password parameters.
  9. Choose the Apply custom pushbutton.
  10. Choose the OK pushbutton.
  11. Restart the AS Java.

Hi Alok,

Please note that the services aren't listed in alphabetical order, therefore you will find the com.sap.security.core.ume.service  somewhere down in the list. You might try searching from bottom-up.

Hello Alok,

Entry point information that everyone will ask for/need is:

What is the version of your J2EE ?

That said, a very kind person put up this guide to help you with your question:
