Dear All,
Is it best practice to use Projection node always in Calc View while creating Join or Union .
I did't find any difference in Join and Union while using tables with Projection or without projection .
eg :-
There are there table for Union .
What will be the difference if I put all table directly to Union node Or I put all tables in different projection and then all projection to union node .
Hi Anupam,
The purpose of projection is to select required columns or to perform some calculations. If you dont have to select particular fields or create calculated columns you can proceed directly without projection. Its all about requirement.
And one more advantage of using projection is reusability. When you use a object directly in a join or union you cant use it again. When the same object is required elsewhere you have to again add it. This may be the reason why using projection is preferred.

Safiyu
