EU_INIT Job After EHP7 Upgrade

Hi there,

We have recently upgraded to EHP7 and there is currently a batch job running

'EU_INIT'.

I know this job rebuilds the indexes for the ABAP workbench and can run for a long time!

I have just checked and it is still running after 83 hours !!

Is this normal?? Should I just leave it to finish?

Many thanks

Andy

Hi Andy,

Addition to it i would suggest you to wait for the successful completion of job until n unless any issues comes. Also you can refer SAP Note 18023 - Jobs EU_INIT, EU_REORG, EU_PUT

EU_INIT is used to completely rebuild the indexes and therefore has a correspondingly long runtime.

Good luck !!
