No scrollbar in editor since 7.40 SP2 - bug or feature

Hi everybody,

The updater automatically renewed the SAPGui 7.40 to Patch 2 this morning.

Maybe this is not a 7.40 issue but I just detected this directly after the update.

In the new editor it happens that there is no vertical scrollbar if

#1 the coding has less lines than the editor in the current vertical size

#2 the coding is not completely shown e.g. by manual scrolling, deletion of code lines.

In this case the coding has 53 lines, the editor size is 55 lines.

#3 If you decrease the editor size to less than 53 the scrollbar reappears:

My settings are:

Win 7

SAPGui 7.400.1.2.110

It seems it was pushed out to end users.

Can you test if it is dependant on the GUI theme - eg Blue Crystal, Signature?

If not, then open a ticket on BC-ABA-LA for the editor.

In the Blue Crystal theme I face the same issue.

where did you get the SP2?

On the SAP Marketplace only Presentation - 7.40 Comilation 1 Presentation 1 is available.

Hi Martina,

The update automatically started after rebooting this morning. I didn't request the update from a specific origin.

I think the SAP GUI Connectivity (aka SAPPCADM) did it.

We have beta patches, but not released for customer yet.

Are you on the beta program?

If yes, can you open a ticket reporting your findings?
