_SAP_Doc application area error in SAP TAO Self-check

Hello,

We are trying to perform a SAP Test Acceleration & Optimization scenario for Order to Cash scenario.

Below are the details on the softwares that we have configured / installed -

SAP TAO client release & version - 3.0.4.3

Windows OS release & version - Windows 7 Pro SP1

HP UFT - 12.02.2374.0

SAP QC - 12.01

SAP GUI - 7400.1.0.1093

Internet Explorer - 11.0.9600.17633

Solution Manager ST release 710 patch 12

Solution Manager ST-TST release 300 patch 4

Solution Manager ST-PI release 2008_1_700 patch 10

System Under Test - ST-PI release 2008_1_700 patch 10

System Under Test - SAP_BASIS release 731 patch 12

Below is the error that we get during the self-check -

_SAP_Doc application area not found

As per the SAP TAO Administrator's guide, this application are needs to be created in SAP Unified Functional Testing 12.02 -> New -> Application Area -> _SAP_Doc -> Save

However, while trying to perform the same, it gives the below error -

Cannot perform this operation because the ALM server does not have an available Business Process Testing license

Could you please suggest how this can be resolved?

UFT 12.02 is DVD# 51049353_5 & UFT License Server is DVD# 51049484

Hello Nicholas,

Yes, this was a license issue which we were facing.

Although we need to create this application area in HP UFT, but this is controlled by the HP ALM license installed on the ALM server to which the UFT is connected.

We were using a 30 day trial & switching over to a licensed version allowed us to create the required application area.
