Hi,
In the std TM-EM content we have the std events like loading begin/end and unloading begin/end and if I understand this date is extracted basically from stop structure of both freight order/freight booking.
Since I have to map the exact fields from TM system to indicate from which field value the planned date gets updated for the above 4 events, hence can you kindly confirm:
a) For freight order under general data tab we have departure date and arrival date. So once we put these 2 dates, does loading begin and loading end event gets generated. If yes, then for unloading begin and unloading end how do we determine the planned date? Is it that we add some 2 hrs as an example and add these hrs to loading events to get the unloading events.
b) Similarly for Freight booking we have pick up date and delivery date and also POL and POD.Kindly inform which field we need to fill up to trigger:
Loading begin
Loading end
Unloading begin
Unloading end
Hi Dipak,
For both the Booking and Freight order objects: ODT20_TO expected event extractor is used.
The logic is as follows:
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
if TUs are assigned -
loading/unloading and coupling/decoupling times come from TU stops (earliest req_start & latest req_end resp. earliest assgn_start and latet assgn_end)
Otherwise:
freight order stop req-times are used for load/unload - no coup/decoup times needed
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
For unloading, the Stop category 'I' is used.
Thanks.
Deb

Hi,
Thx.
Can you specify the exact field description in freight order/freight booking document ( not from BOBF STOPS structure) where the value needs to be populated so that the expected events date and time gets populated in the execution node of the below enclsoed 4 events:
Loading begin
Loading end
Unloading begin
Unloading end
Hi Dipak,
the loading and unloading times typically get set automatically by the scheduler for freight orders. There are no fields on the standard freight order UI in which you can enter these times. On the freight unit UI you can find them on the 'Stages' tab: for each stage on the 'Dates' tab. For a freight order you will then have the earliest time of all assigned freight units as (Un)Loading Begin and the latest as (Un)Loading End.
If you need more detailed information regarding this, you should post this question in the SAP TM community.
Best regards, Daniel
Hi Deb,
FYI: Since there has been some issues regarding the times for coupling, decoupling, loading and unloading especially with scenarios with FU, TU and FO, there is a new note available for TM 9.1 and TM 9.2: 2128183 - "Extraction of loading, unloading, coupling and decoupling expected events is not
correct"
The note includes some corrections for the expected event extractors - the logic changed to determine the (un)loading and (de)coupling times.
Best regards, Daniel
Thx for the clarification.
Can you kindly clarify this a liitle bit-the loading and unloading times typically get set automatically by the scheduler for freight orders.Where the scheduler sets this value so that the expected date and time is populated for these events.
Also do the similar logic holds good for freight booking as well.
In case we do not have any set up for schedules for ocean and road transport in that case how we can get this value populated.
