Hi Experts
Customer credit control setup in FD32
If a Customer A Has $10,0000 Credit Limit
What is the following fields setting In FD32 screen,
1. OverviewTab - Credit Limit = ..?
2. Status tab = Individual credit limit and Total limits = ..?
If Customer B - with individual limit $ 8,000 is tied with Customer A and same credit control group,
What is the settings for the above 3 fields
Thanks in advance

For the other quesiton:
If Customer B - with individual limit $ 8,000 is tied with Customer A and same credit control group,
What is the settings for the above 3 fields
Do you mean that you want to change cusotmer B's credit account to A?
In this case, customer B will not have it's own credit limit. It will share A's.
For example,
A has credit limit 10000 under CCA 1
B has credit limit 8000 under CCA 1
If changing the credit account of B to A.
Then A and B will share the limit of 10000.
B will not have it's own credit limit under CCA1 anymore.
Even if you change the limit of A to 18000, A and B will share 18000. Means, you can create a sales order with customer A or B and a value of 18000.
You can't control A and B separately anymore.
So if A and B have their own credit limit, it is not correct to tie them together.
You also asked how to set the 3 fields if B is tied to A.
Here the 3 fields:
OverviewTab - Credit Limit
Central Data -Individual credit limit
Central Data -Total limits
Only the credit limit on overview screen is relevant. (same with the credit limit on status screen.)
If customerB&CCA1 has credit account A, then it shares the credit limit of customerA&CCA1.
The Total limits and Individual credit limit (in "Maximum permitted credit limits" section) is not relevant. The two fields control how you can set the credit limit of a CCA for the customer. It doesn't work on document directly.
Total limits and Individual credit limit --restrict--> credit limit of CCA --work on--> document
In your scenario, seems that there is only 1 CCA. You may just leave the Total limits and Individual credit limit (in "Maximum permitted credit limits" section) blank.

Hi MM,
1. OverviewTab - Credit Limit = ..?
On the overview screen, you will see that the first two lines are:
Customer
Credit control area (CCA)
The information on this screen is for the combination of the customer and the CCA.
The credit limit on Overview screen = the credit limit on Satatus screen.
If you change the credit limit on Satatus screen, the credit limit on overview screen will be changed accordingly.
2. Status tab = Individual credit limit and Total limits = ..?
Here is a typing mistake. I think you mean the Central Data screen, as shown in 2nd screenshot.
On this screen, there is only one field on the top. It is customer number. Means the data on this screen is for this customer.
There are below fields:
"Current credit limit assigned" section:
Total amount <<<<< A
Largest indiv.limit <<<<< B
"Maximum permitted credit limits" section:
Total amount <<<<< C
Individual limit <<<<<< D
Currency
In business, a customer can be assigned to several sales areas, and the sales areas may be assigned with different CCAs.
In this scenario, you will need to maintain credit limit separately in the CCAs for the customer.
Field A means the current total credit limit of all CCAs. = credit limit of CCA1+ credit limit of CCA2 + ....
Field B menas the current largest individual limit of a credit control area = max{credit limit of CCA1, credit limit of CCA2, ...}
Field C means the allowed total credit limit of all CCAs
Field D menas the allowed largest individual limit of a credit control area
Field A and B is calculated by system according to the existing credit master data in system.
Field C and D is maintained by yourself.
A <= C
B <= D
You can leave C and D blank, means you don't want to set a restriction at customer level. In the case, you can maintain any credit limit under a CCA for the customer.
If you have only 1 CCAs for the customer, just leave C and D blank.
If you want to restrict the credit limit at customer level, normally you should maintain C and D first.
Then mainatain individual credit limit of each CCA.
If you maintain a credit limit of a CCA larger than D, error message will be issued.
If you maintain a credit limit of a CCA and cause that the total credit limit of all CCAs larger than C, error message.
Hope the infomration is helpful for you.

Hi MM
Total credit limit and individual credit limits will be applicable for those scenarios where customer is extended for multiple sales areas and each sales area might be defined to same credit control area.
In that case you can define total credit limit applicable for all both sales areas together and individual credit limit is a maximum credit limit applicable for each sales area. No matter whether both sales area assigned to same company code or different company codes.
Example:
There is a customer A01, who was assigned to 2 sales areas namely 1000/00/00 and 2000/00/00.
You can define total credit limit as 1 million (10 lakhs) and maximum credit limit for each area is 7 Lakhs.
In this case system will allow customer A01 to buy 1 million worth goods from both companies together. But he cannot buy more 7 Lakhs from each area. Once he 7 lakh utilized remaining balance will be 3 lakhs only. He cannot use that 3 Lakhs for same sales org. however he can use it for different sales org untill his total credit limit is exhausted.
Hope it is clear to you. Else let me know.

Seshu

Hi ,
we are maintain credit limit in status tab itself as total credit limit and individual limit from SD side but there is some another setting is also here related to FI consultant so according to me both are same only thing is that once you maintain credit limit in status tab it will reflect in overview tab also but overview tab you maintain horizon period for this value
Which is having relationship in info structure OMO1 -- "S066"
1. OverviewTab -
Credit Limit = ..<<108000 > ?
2. Status tab =
Individual credit limit = .......<<10,8000>
Total limits = ...<<10,8000>
i hope it will helpful for you
