Dear All experts,
Though this might have been discussed in numerous blogs but I wish to ask your suggestions and advices on moving SAP PI(process integration) to PO (Process Ochestration) as a PI developer .
What are the pre-requisite knowledge to learn PO ?
Is PI ccBPM is mandatory (or any other SAP product knowledge) to learn PO due to PO is a collection of PI+BPM+ etc..
Are there any webinars/video tutorials published for this for a beginner?
Thanks
Hi Tharaka,
PO is combination of PI+BPM+BRM, If you are planning to use BPMs in your project, the knowledge of ccBPM will be handy. If you do not have ccBPM knowledge, you can still learn BPM and there are N number of blogs and docs available on SCN for this.
For PO there are many links available, to list a few as :
http://wiki.scn.sap.com/wiki/display/NWTech/SAP+NetWeaver+Process+Orchestration
http://scn.sap.com/docs/DOC-27464
Hope it helps
Regards,
Azhar

Hello T FDO.
PO is advanced version of PI which leverages the benefits of PI+NWBPM+NWBRM in single SID.
Three areas
PI- If your good in PI then PI part of PO ,your good to go.
NWBPM- This is similar like workflows, you have many blogs in SCN to learn.
NWBRM- These are tables and decision rules.
You can integrate all three as well.

---> Few business processes and departments uses the BPM and BRM features of PO within a company . PI is still the core which will help you in understanding how an Enterprise service broker works . Focus more time on PI less on BPM.
