SAP MII 15.0 Installation:Hardware requirements

Hi Experts,

Could you please help me by sharing the hardware requirements(basic server configuration) for installing SAP MII 15.0(NetWeaver 7.4).

The backend will be SQL server 2008.

Please find the below detials of your sandbox.

Memory: 8 GB

Processors: 2 cores

Hard disk space on D drive(excluding OS installation drive): 500 GB.

Actually I want to refine my query here-

This will be a training server where MII and ME both will be hosted on the same NW and same box.We need configuration for the box on which and ME and MII 15.0 will be hosted.

I would need below inputs-

1)Hard Disk space -

2)RAM(Which is robust enough to handle ME as well as MII on the same box) -

3)Processor -

4)OS -

5)Compatible MS SQL DATABASE (For NW 7.4)-

6)Compatible MS SQL DATABASE (For SAP ME 15.0) -

Hi,

1)Hard Disk space - ~ 250 GB of free space

2)RAM(Which is robust enough to handle ME as well as MII on the same box) - 12-16 GB

3)Processor - Quad core

4)OS - Windows 2008

5)Compatible MS SQL DATABASE (For NW 7.4) - Windows 2008, 2012

6)Compatible MS SQL DATABASE (For SAP ME 15.0) - Windows 2008, 2012, 2005.

One query-

Our Database will also be hosted on the same box because this is just for training purpose.In that case do you think that RAM should be slighty more?

Hi Muddassar,

Depends on the server performance, for training should be fine.

If you want very good performance, plan to install on SSD.

We have an internal Sandbox configured as follows:

Windows Server 2008R2

SQLServer 2012

NW 7.4

ME 15.0,3

MII 15.0.3

PCo 15.0.3

Hardware:

2 ea Intel Xeon X7560 @2.27GHz

8GBRAM

Partitions:

Disk  sizes:

C: 40GB (OS only)

D:400GB (other applications and Data)

P:16GB (Paging file)

This is a good performer for a test environment, recommend 4 CPU and 16GB if you use it for training and have multiple users connected in a training environment, or for a multi-user test environment.
