Significance of ' Group , PD profile , Profile , Template ' while clicking on Create in Role Maintainance in NWBC

Hello All,

While clicking on Create in Role Maintainance link in NWBC, there are few options to choose :

Composite Role

Business Role

Single Role

Group

PD Profile

Profile

Template

I want to understand the Significance of  ' Group , PD Profile , Profile , Template ' .

Please suggest.

Dear Rahul,

these are different role types that are pre-delivered by SAP. You can deactivate and maintain them in SPRO > GRC > AC > Role Management > Maintain Role Type Settings.

Very shortly what they are for:

- Group: enterprise portal groups

- Profile: creation of authorization profiles (e.g. like SAP_ALL)

- PD Profile: structural authorization

- Template: see SAP note http://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/1723477
