Hi SAP Experts,
Can anyone make me understand the time evaluation calculation done by System.we have a scenario when employee has 0 to 4 yrs of experience have 20 days, 4 to 14- 22 days, >14 - 24 days,
Employee joined on 01.05.2006, employee got terminated on 01.11.2014, system has issued 18.74315 days ,
How come system calculated this. i tried understanding it. but still i am not able to get this calculation. would anyone please help me over here?
I gave calendar year as accrual year. i gave transfer time upon accrual.
Thanks
Sriram
Hi Sriram,
I hope the employee termination date is 08.11.2014 then the calculation goes like this:
Calculations | Days in a calendar year | As per the configuration | Calculations |
here 365-23-31 = 311 | 365 | 22 | here 365/311*22=18.745 |
311 | 18.74520548 | ||
Hope this will clarify the Time Evaluation calculations.
Thanks and Regards,
Sai

According to the calculation it should be 304/365*22 =18.3232876 it is not happening in the system what is the way to find out is go through configuration and log with out knowing what is there in system we can only predict no accuracy place the V_T559L for better understanding.

Hi Venkatesh,
Before termination date. quota will automatically accrue the pro-rate entitlements. i just confused with the calculations only ,if employee has 0 to 4 yrs of exp, he will have 20 days per year, if he has 4 to 14 will have 22 days, if he has 14 to 999 will have 24 days , anyway i will give you the screenshots.
Please find attached one .
Hi Siva,
Apologize to everyone. Siva calculation was right. actually i used a feature HDATE to identify the date to calculate the seniority,, though employee was hired on 01.05.2006, in IT41 date has been given as 01.10.2000, hence the problem,
but still for this i am not getting the calculation .would you please clarify this.
Thanks
Sriram
Hi,
Your quota is on calendar days. If employee is more than 4years of service then he will be getting total 22days quota for a calendar year.
Now employee got terminated 01.11.2014 so it's10months & 1 day during the calendar year of 2014.
so 22/12=1.8 approx then (10*1.8)= 18 and then its adding 1 day's fraction of quota amount. So in total it's giving 18.7435 .
Hope so it's clear to you now.

According to your data, the employee had 8 years of experience and should get 22 days (of some sort of Quota).
Is that a Quota that the employee was getting every year on a certain date?
Is it possible that the allowance upon termination was calculated at prorata, based on the number of days worked in the current year's quota validity period?
Is it a Quota that the employee gets only upon termination, and could it be reduced by the use of a certain type of Absences taken previously?
Do a Time Evaluation Test, with the "Display log" box checked, and try to see where the allowance gets generated and if that allowance is re-evaluated later in processing.

Hi Remi,
Time evaluation quota generation has been introduced to clients in 2014, so he was hired on 1st of may 2006, we are running time evaluation for him for 2014, but he terminated on 1.11.2014,,
if he is terminated it must be with prorate based on , quota's are not reduced here..
I did it Remi,, i am not able to understand the calculation. becoz i am not sure how system calculates.
Thanks
Sriram
