Hello,
ECC system :
Our Landsacpe has a DEV and QA systems that are in site A . In one Domain Controller (DEV)
We have another 12 sites , each site has a TST and PRD systems Each one of these 12 sites has it's own domain controller (TST1 ...TST2 ..TST12) which include the TST and PRD systems.
The DEV site and each one of the TST/PRD sites are in a different Windows Domain.
All sites including the DEV site are connected in WAN.
Currently we MANUALLY (using an ABAP program and RFC's to the TST1, TST2...TST12 site) transfer the cofiles and datafiles to the sapmnt of these sites , and MANUALLY perform add to buffer to TST1,TST2.....
Questions:
--------------
1. Can we put the the DEV , QA and the 12 sites in ONE domain controller? If YES what is required at Windows level for this to work.
2. Can SM handle such landscape ?
3. What is the prefered method?
Thanks,
Moshe
Hi ,
Do you have RFC connectivity from the DEV to all the systems . if yes then you don not need You dont need the manual RFC program .
If yes choose DEV as the Domain controller and incase your /usr/sap/trans is not common you have an option to add another domain to your Domain controller in STMS
Thanks ,
Manu

Hi Moshe ,
Configuring Links Between Transport Domains - Change and Transport System - SAP Library
A transport Domain may the group of systems sharing the common /usr/sap/trans
The idea will be to always have the same system groups in the same domain ( ie share the common /usr/sap/trans and controlled by the same domain controller )
Thanks ,
Manu
