ChaRM: CRM Web Client UI (Performance)

Hi,

We are on Solution Manager 7.1 SP12.

We have Development and Production systems for Solman.

CRM Web Client UI is running really well in Development (quick loading).

However, Production is running extremely slow...nearly to the point where it's unusable.

As a comparison:

Development takes a few seconds to log in to CRM Web Client UI

Production takes nearly a minute.

Any suggestions on what this may be and how to resolve?

Regards

Shaun

Hi,

Just check the HTTP parameters and compare it with development system and login with profile ZSOLMANPRO only. Although it looks like network bottleneck only.

Thanks rishav

Yep only logging in as ZSOLMANPRO.

Where do I check http parameters?

Thanks

Shaun

Hi Team

Can you run your IE in compatibility mode.

Moreover check the note 1582842 if all parameters are set properly by RZ11.

Hello,

This web interface has some performance issues indeed.

Please read note "1676755 - Performance optimization in Solution Manager IT Service Management". There is an instruction to reduce the number of Generic Outbound Plugs in CRM Navigation Bar Profile SOLMANPRO, which may help.

I do not know on which hardware configuration (virtualized or not) your instances are running on, but check if the best-possible HW was assigned to your production system.

This web interface requires a lot of CPU performance, so look for any "unnecessary" processes running at OS Level with high CPU usage (e.g. bad configuration for Antivirus software).

Daniel

Hi Shaun,

Hope you are doing good.
Please check the parameter abap/shared_objects_size_MB (and increase it to 250  if possible on all servers.). Refer to SAP Note 1281896 for background information.

Also make sure there are no network glitches as mentioned in note  1162605 Network performance for CRM Webclient

Hope this helps.
