Hello ,
I want to learn about TREX and its uses and how it searches and retrieves information from the database and how is it connected to different systems in the landscape - BI , CRM , ECC , SRM ..how does it help?
Please help me in understanding this.
Thanks in advance
Uday.
Hi ,
Thanks for the reply.
The trex system has way too many dia , bgd workprocesses than a normal system.
How is the indexing done in trex and how are the different servers in TREX used(queue server , index server....).
Please explain the data , query flow from a ABAP + JAVA server to trex (servers) and back.
Thanks,
Uday

Hi Uday,
TREX is used as search engine and do not have diag or bgd work process.
TREX can be installed as stand alone engine.
Refer links shared above (help.sap) ,to understand architecture and how TREX is used for searching and configured with different SAP systems.
>Architecture.
Hope it clear your queries.

Hello Uday,
These are processes of SAP system with which TREX is configured.
RFC server, Queue server, Preprocessor, Index server, Name server are important server/processes in TREX.
Is it BI system and BIA configured in it.?
In your TREXADMIN tool, Landscape -> Services -> Threads : will show you all TREX threads.

AShish
