Hi guys,

I'm trying to print text with a bigger font size, but it doesn't work... I always got the same result when printing.

I'm changing the font size in the Font palette, but no changes.

Could you please help me?

Regards,

David

HI David,

Is the text binded through text module or standard text? or is it hard coded through text ?

Hi Varun,

the text is binded with Text field (standard object).

Incase you are maintaining the font size in text module or std text, even if its not reflecting on th pdf. Then go to Objects--> Field-> Field format and change to Rich text.

I've already tried with Rich Text, and again no changes...

Check if that particular font size and font style for eq Arial 18 is installed in the system.

Is it the text module or std text which is binded to text field?

It's binded with the field KDMAT from the imported structure...

As said, Please mark the check box increase height in the layout tab. I suspect the height is not dynamically increasing even if the font is increased.

Hi,

the source is not a Text module, it's a field from the interface structure.

I cleared the ADS cache and check all boxes to fit the size, but it doesn't work

Go to layout tab of Wrapped subform and check the box height. Auto adjust

I've checked the "Auto-fit" box for the subform, but still no changes...

Hi David,

in your case you should not set the field format to 'Rich Text', choose the option 'Plain Text'

Rich text is used only when the font settings defined in text modules or SO10 to be considered.

Plain text is used only when the font settings defined at the font palette to be considered.

in your case you are expecting the fonts defined at fonts palette to be considered so please try 'Plain Text'.

Hi David,

Looks like a Product issue. Refer to following SAP notes.

2058683 - IFbA: Font mapping for PDF preview in spool

You use SAP Interactive Forms by Adobe. PDF preview in spool management does not take font mapping into account.

1489570 - Set font mapping for PDF forms

Reward points if helpful.

Hi Sandy,

SAP Note 2058683 has been implemented, but we have always the same problem.

Can you check with Basis if they have to restart the ADS server or clear the cache.

If issue persists, I suggest raise a OSS message giving reference of 2058683 - IFbA: Font mapping for PDF preview in spool. Looks like SAP might have to fix few missing links.

Hello,

not yet, my SAP-Ticket is still open. We tried to install missing fonts on the ADS, without success.

I will share the solution as soon as I get one!

Hi David,

Does it work in Adobe LiveCycle preview? Does the scenario only happen when printing?
Adjust the field size proportionally to the font size, it should work.

Hi David,

Tell me the result of FP_PDF_TEST_00 report, in some way I can copy it. I'll get your ADS version from that and make some tests.

It's strange that the font size does not increase in printout. I would understand if this was happening
also on preview.

Last question. Does the data come from a Text Module (SO10)?

Thanks,
Diego

Hi David,

I tested with the same version but I did not got the same result. It actually worked.
See my screenshot.

All I had to adjust was the field size. When increasing the font, it must adjust the field size.

Does the data come from a Text Module (SO10)?
Have you cleared ADS cache? Run the report FP_PDF_TEST_26.

Hi David,

Changing the font size in palette should work. Make sure you are not making changes in Display mode. Adobe form layout allows you to do that and I did that mistake couple of times.

Bit of a over kill but you can use scripts to achieve this. Refer to SDN thread below
