renaming a dataset

hello,

i;ve looked, but cannot find a way to rename a data set. i tried opening the data set, selected the date menu option , the edit data source. the name field is not enabled. is it possible to rename a data set?

Hi,

i believe this feature is being implemented for the next release SP23, which is expected towards the end of the month.

You should be able to do it from the Share room. I confirm it is planned for the next release

hi sharon,

i checked and i have version 1.23.0.

i checked in the Share room and i did see an option to rename a dataset.

i would also like to have the ability to rename datasets from the screen that has the documents, visualizations and datasets options.

Hi;

If you do not have time; you can follow those steps instead:

-Open dataset

-Read dataset into an internal table

-Close dataset

-Open new dataset

-Transfer internal table data into new dataset

-Close new dataset

-Delete old dataset
