Could you please tell me the way for completely remove the SAPgui 730 ?

Hello Oh,

If the SAPGUI is still installed on your computer, then you can use the Add/Remove Programs applet from Control Panel to uninstall it. However, as you noted, this will still leave traces of the old installation on your PC. Nevertheless, you should start with this step.

Afterwards, you may find registry entries in:

  • HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\SAP
  • HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\SAP
  • HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\SAP (depending on whether your machine is 32-bit or 64-bit)

You can delete these registry paths, if you're careful (after properly uninstalling). Nothing is harmed by leaving them, however, except that they may influence the next SAPGUI installation, and if you are not comfortable and experienced with editing the registry, I suggest leaving it alone.

You may find leftover files and folders at:

  • c:\program files (x86)\sap
  • c:\program files (x86)\common files\sap shared
  • c:\programdata\microsoft\windows\start menu\programs\sap front end
  • c:\windows\saplogon.ini
  • c:\windows\sapmsg.ini
  • c:\windows\system32\sapfcpl.cpl
  • c:\windows\system32\sapregsv.exe
  • c:\windows\syswow64\sapbtmp.dll
  • c:\users\<username>\appdata\roaming\sap
  • c:\users\<username>\appdata\local\sap
  • c:\users\<username>\sapworkdir
  • c:\users\<username>\appdata\local\virtualstore\windows\saplogon.ini

Some of the above will only be there for Win7+ and/or 64-bit machines. Some paths may be slightly different for 32-bit and/or WinXP- machines. Also, some paths are only there if older versions of the GUI have ever been installed, and/or SAPGUI upgrades were done.

There may be additional files and folders and registry settings if you had additional SAPGUI components, such as Bex Explorer, etc, installed. The above are for the basic SAPGUI.

Matt

Hello Ilhun,

You can find the folders and files of the SAP Logon in the following path.

Go to the respective paths and delete them.

Click on top left coner of the logonpad and then go to options --> SAP Logon options --> Find the sub folders under Local data, traces, SAP logon options. You will find a directory for every items.

Delete the trace files and temporary data using the above options.

Hello Oh,

Try the command nwsapsetup /uninstall /all /nodlg /force to remove the gui completely.

You might have to reboot the PC after this has been completed.

No, this should run from the run menu in Windows OS.

If it's already installed, then this command will not be found, you may need to reinstall again for nwsapsetup to be found.
