Making 'PISUPER' as Service User

Former Member

Hi All,

I am working in SAP Landscape with SAP PI 7.31 AEX and SAP R/3 4.7 and SAP CRM 4.7 in it.

For SLD Connection/Configuration and RFC Connections, I have used 'PISUPER' user having all the necessary authorization/roles.

But password for this id gets reset after an interval of 1 month. And I have to make these authentication changes everywhere in RFC Destinations, SLDAPICUST, etc.

I want to make it an 'Service' user. How(from where - path) do I do it?

Thanks,

Amit Patil

Hello Amit ,

The PISUPER user should already be having the profile as TECHNICAL in PI.

You can check at below bath :

NWA -> Configuration -> Security -> Identity management.

If the user is having DEFAULT profile instead of technical then you can seek help from your security team to get that changed. Policy details as per SAP :

Alternatively , you can use also create a new user having service user access with technical profile to use in your rfc connections. This will be a best practice.

Thanks

Hi Gaurav,

'PISUPER' was having 'Default' profile which I changed to 'Technical User'. Now the password should remain constant. But how do I test it?

Thanks,

Hello Amit ,

A user having technical profile is set to No Expiry password and this is SAP Standard. The password will not expire now.

For more details visit :

Default Security Policy Profiles - Identity Management - SAP Library

Thanks.
