Random behavior of BPMon alerts (Classical BPMon Infrastructure)

Hi Experts,

We have setup Classical Business Process Monitoring for one of our customers.

Below are the infrastructure details:

SolMan Version: SolMan 7.1 SP12

Managed system ST - PI 2008_1_700 Level 10 and STA/PI 01R SP00

Scope: Interface File Monitoring and Background Job Monitoring

Issue: The alerts were found once the setup of monitoring objects was completed. Recently we have observed a random behaviour of the alerts coming in Classical Business Process Monitoring.

The alerts are not found for 2-3 days, once I deactivate and activate the monitoring objects again I get all the alerts of past 2-3 days together.

This is randomness is found twice.

The data collection job BPM_DATA_COLLECTION_1 in the managed system is working fine and all the required roles and authorization for READ and TMW RFC users are also in place.

Please help me to identify the issue.

Hi Kavita

I saw similar issue in past that comes from ST-A/PI issue from managed system.

So I recommend you to check ST-A/PI framework note that is listed in note 1759233.

if your st-a/pi in managed system is

01Q SP2 is used:

1946940 - ST-A/PI 01Q SP2: Advance Correction BPMon (Infrastructure and EBO)

01R SP0 is used:

2079462 - Advance Corrections in BPMon infrastructure (EXS) delivered with ST-A/PI 01R SP01

*Issue described in (1) seems relevant

2008715 - Advance Corrections BPMon SM 7.1 ST710 delivered with SP13

2109939 - Advance Corrections BPMon SM 7.1 ST710 delivered with SP14

If yes can you implement the advance corrections

Hi,

The suggested SAP Notes are applied (latest version), still the BPMon alerts and data in Analytics have stopped. Today I checked and found that the alerts of last 10 days have come all together.

Following are the checks done so far:

1. The data collection job in the managed system 'BPM_DATA_COLLECTION_1* is working fine.
2. Also the BPM extractors are active and have status green.
3. The data collection users 'READ RFC' and TMW RFC have necessary authorizations.
4. I have applied the latest version of the BPO related notes in Solution Manager, still the issues persists.

Anything else that is missing or needs to be checked ?

Can you check the table DSWP_BPM_ALERTS AND  check whether the alerts are getting listed

Hi,

The DSWP_BPM_ALERTS table does not have the list of alerts. It shows the same alerts that are found in alert inbox, but in random behavior. Today I checked and the data collection has stopped again. I have no clue since we have setup BPMon few months back and everything was working properly. Now all of a sudden the BPMon alerts have stopped.

Any other suggestions are welcome !
