Webi report on Bex Query Vs Webi report on RDBMS

Could any one please let me know, what would be the major differences you found while Webi reporting with Bex as source and RDBMS as source.

Hi Subash,

Business objects has advanced a lot in Business objects and Bex combination.  It all depend on on your current version of SAP Business Objects and SAP BW.

Difference,

Content	RDBMS	Bex
Derived tables	Yes	No
Free SQL	Yes	No
Table and Joins	Yes	No direct option, but some work around is available
Connection type	ODBC,JDBC, etc	BICS ( If your version is BI 4.X) Universe on Bex ( BOXI 3.X)
