Hi Perrine,

yes, this is possible. Regarding propagation of events there it does not matter in TM if they are handled as expected or as unexpected events in EM. The following prerequisites have to be met:

  1. Freight Order/Booking Type Customizing: "Flag for "Propagate Execution Info" is set
  2. IMG activity "Define Transportation Activities for Tracking and Tracing": The event is assigned to "Inbound" or "Outbound" stop category
  3. The event is reported with reference to a stop that matched this stop category and there is an assignment on this stop between freight order/booking and freight unit

Then the unexpected events should be propagated. There are also a couple of notes available regarding this. Notes 2100110 and 2100134 should be implemented.

Thx Daniel for this info.A quick question-Is it possible to view the list of unexpected events in EM web UI for the freight order/freight booking.

Hi,

if you want to send unexpected events from TM to EM you have to create a custom event type for it. Example you can check regarding this is the event type ODT30_BLOCK which is delivered as standard content to send an event message to SAP EM when a freight document is blocked.

Hello Daniel,

Thank you for your answer, but in this case, the event is not related to a stop. The aim is just to use it as an information.

Do you ever see this kind of usage ?

Hi,

in this case there is no standard solution for propagation of such events inside SAP TM. But you could still establish the propagation of the events inside SAP EM by setting up the rule set accordingly or via tracking IDs that are valid for all the event handlers for which an event shall be processed. Each event handler can then propagate the event information to the related TM freight document as done in standard.

Best regards, Daniel
