Industry code field maintenance

Dear Helpdesk,

There are fields in Customer master as Industry code 1 to Industry code

5. In our company, Industry code 1 field is maintained. Now we want to

use industry code 2 and industry code 3 field also. But I tried to

search for maintenance activity for Industry code 2 & 3, it refers to

the same table as of Industry code 1. I.e. pop up of Industry code 2 and

Industry code 3 is same of Industry code 1.

We do not want to maintain the data required for Industry code 2-3 in

table of Industry code 1.

Please help urgently as we have to modify the functionality based on

the value of these fields in Sales Order processing. The functionality

is to made live ASAP.

hi saurabh,

In std sap industry codes are same from 1 to 5 in customising,but it actually depends on assignment of input in customer master records ,

for example if u have defined certain customising inputs for this field, it is applicable to all 5 fields ,but depending on KNA1 table data ,sap reads the fields 2 and 3 as per your requirement.

it is freely usable field recommended for marketing purposes.

Hi

Sorry additional industry codes (2-5) you can see in the Marketing tab under general data tab. On the right side of Industry code 1, you can see a clickable right arrow key (matina other sectors). Click on that and you will be able to see all your reamining industry keys.

Here is how one can maintain Industry code 2 to Industry code 5.

In the transaction XD02/VD02 go to the Marketing tab in General Data.

Right adjacent to the <b>'Industry code 1'</b> field, there is a tab to enter Industry code2-5

The tab is denoted by the Yellow Arrow in a box[like the one to maintain multiple values for the selection fields].

Also, to enter the values, for these fields follow the path:

IMG-SD-Master Data-Business Partners-Customers-Marketing-Define Industry sector codes.

Industry codes comes under general data of customer. For any additional general fields you have to follow the following path when you are in general data tab of customer

Extras --> Additional Data
