Hi PI gurus,

Basis team have installed Web Dispatcher in SAP PI AEX for security purposes for Web Services and SAP CRM integration via PI.

I am new to PI and using this concept for first time.

Can some one please help me ?

1) What all setting needs to be in SAP PI AEX after Basis have installed web dispatcher?

2) I have saved the wsdl url from ID ICO, what all changes I need to do in that URL to be shared with web services team?

I have searched many threads on SCN.. but not able to find any concrete answer to my this requirement?

Thanks in advance.

Regards,

SV

It is just for checking..i did not mean you have to use web app host for esr. Please ignore ESR part.

concentrate on wsdl url.sorry for confusion.

Hi Muniyappan,

Thanks for your time.

I understood the point :

No change is required in PI setting after Basis have installed the Web Dispatcher.

Only I need to update the wsdl files with Web dispatcher IP wherever necessary .

Hi,

you can check with basis what host name they have assigned for web application server.

try to open the ESR builder using that host name. please check for both http or https.

http(s)://dev.mycompany.com/dir,

i believe when you have generate wsdl from ico you will get like http(s)://host:port/

in the url you replace host:port with  the web app server host name dev.mycompany.com

now test it from soap ui.

thanks.

Hi Muniyappan.

Thanks for your reply.

As per my understanding from your reply is as below.

I just need to update the wsdl files generated from PI ID ICO with Web Dispatcher URL where ever necessary.

Sorry I didn't understood why ESR builder checking is required with Web despatcher IP?

Can you please put more light on that?

SV

That us correct. You have to modify the wsdl url.

Please check with soap ui after you get the host name from basis and modifying url.

Normally how would you open ESR builder?

Are you using ip address or host name?

Hi Muniyappan,

We use host name to open PI tools.

Sorry I am confused , when it is needed to use host name of Web dispatcher to open ESR?
